Whew… just when you think the drama between Dwight Howard and his estranged wife Amber Howard couldn’t get any messier, here comes another twist… and baby, it’s a lot.
Newly surfaced body cam footage obtained by TMZ is making its rounds, showing police pulling up after Amber says Dwight locked her out of the house. And from the jump, you can hear it in her voice, sis is tired. She’s telling officers her whole life has basically been flipped upside down after their latest blow-up, something she clearly didn’t see coming.
Now, Amber is claiming things go deeper than just relationship issues. According to her, Dwight didn’t want her continuing her reality TV run, specifically her time on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, where she had been appearing for four years. She says once that stopped, she ended up depending on him financially, and that’s where things got tricky.
While venting to officers, she told them that she feels like that financial dependence is being used against her in the relationship. At one point, an officer asked her a simple but real question, if she had anything saved up just in case. And Amber’s response? It hit heavy.
”I don’t yet.”
Amber also says the two of them were on the verge of a major bag together, a brand new TV deal that would’ve paid them $1 million each! According to her, that was instantly clipped by her ex hubby.
She claims Dwight pulled the plug out of nowhere, allegedly sending an email to the production team shutting the whole thing down without warning her first.

Now on Dwight’s side, sources close to him are calling cap on Amber’s version of events. They’re telling TMZ that if the deal was really that solid, there’s no reason he wouldn’t have moved forward with it. They also pointed out that Amber was only appearing periodically on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta during 2023–2024, claiming producers ultimately decided not to keep working with her.
As for those claims about him using money as leverage? His camp says that’s not what’s going on, and if the two can’t come to an agreement, the courts will sort it all out.
Now let’s not forget, this isn’t even the first round of accusations. Amber previously took to social media accusing Dwight of drug use and said he lost custody of his child. Since then, Dwight has filed for divorce and things between the two continue to spiral fast and clearly, we’re nowhere near the end of this story.
