Ja Rule is setting the record straight. After footage surfaced showing the rapper involved in a heated exchange while on a flight. The incident, which involved longtime rival affiliates, quickly went viral.

However, Ja says while he apologized for how things played out saying, some lines will never be crossed. TMZ caught up with Ja Rule in New York City on Tuesday and asked him directly about the altercation involving Tony Yayo on a Delta Air Lines flight. Ja made it clear that maturity played a role in his public apology. At the same time, he did not walk back standing up for himself. Ja Rule Addresses His Apology Over The Plane Incident

The viral moment happened aboard a flight traveling from San Francisco to New York. Video captured Ja in a shouting match with Tony Yayo. At one point, Ja even threw a pillow during the exchange. The footage quickly made rounds online.

Shortly after, Ja released a public statement apologizing. In that statement, he referred to his own behavior as “goofy.” When TMZ approached him about that apology, he clarified his reasoning.
Ja Rule told TMZ that he’s a grown man … and, there’s a time and a place to handle beef. That said, Ja says he doesn’t regret his behavior on the flight — because he’s no coward — and he’s ready to stand on business when called out.

He made it clear that the apology was about accountability. It was not about backing down. According to Ja, growth means knowing when a setting is inappropriate for conflict. An airplane filled with passengers was not the ideal environment.
However, he did not suggest that the tension itself was fabricated. Instead, he acknowledged the long history behind it. The feud traces back to issues involving members of G-Unit, a collective closely tied to 50 Cent.

Ja’s tone during the interview was calm. He did not escalate the narrative. Instead, he explained that adulthood requires perspective. Still, he maintained that defending oneself does not disappear with age.
