Hannah Smith, a star from ‘Love Island USA,’ is in legal trouble for allegedly making racist threats to a police officer when she was arrested in Atlanta on September 30.

According to TMZ, Smith unleashed a verbal attack on a female officer from Cobb County, using offensive language and making threats. Smith allegedly told the officer that she hates Black women and looked forward to causing harm to both the officer and her sister. This incident took place at The Roxy music venue, where Smith was attending a concert. She was arrested and faces two felony charges: making terroristic threats and obstructing law enforcement. Smith was released on bail the following day, and prosecutors are now examining the details of the case.

Hannah’s lawyer, Mike Hawkins, mentioned that Smith does not remember anything that happened after she stepped away from her drink to take a photo with fans. He emphasized that she is very upset about the incident and regrets any offense caused to others, including the police. Prosecutors are currently deciding whether to press formal charges against her.

Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Smith made her debut on ‘Love Island USA’ Season 6, which began on June 11, 2024. She entered the villa on the first day and was initially paired with Kendall, but she was eliminated by Day 10 after struggling to form a lasting connection.
