Aoki Lee Simmons: “It’s Not Their Fault… Please Treat Them Like Children”
Aoki Lee Simmons is speaking out in support of Diddy’s children amid the backlash surrounding his legal troubles. The compassionate model is urging everyone to treat his kids with simple love and respect.
During an Instagram Live session, a fan inquired about her thoughts on Diddy. The 22-year-old responded, “What do I think about Diddy? I think his daughters and children are such wonderful people and I really hope you guys treat them with love and respect ’cause they’re nice kids.”
Aoki Lee, daughter of Kimora Lee Simmons—who had a close relationship with Diddy’s late ex-wife, Kim Porter—further emphasized, “It’s not their fault… that’s adult business. They are not adults. My little cousins, they are in school; they are not adults, so please treat them like children. That’s all I ask.”
What Did Diddy Do And Why Are His Kids Being Affected?
As previously reported, the hip-hop mogul is currently in federal custody awaiting trial on charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. His arrest last month in New York followed a series of civil suits alleging sexual assault and physical violence, some dating back to the 1990s.
Diddy’s legal issues have impacted not only him but also those within his inner circle, as others are said to be involved in his alleged crimes. He has denied any wrongdoing and intends to fight to clear his name.
In response to the turmoil, Diddy’s children recently released a joint statement addressing the “hurtful” rumors circulating about their family, including their late mother, Kim Porter, in the aftermath of their father’s arrest.
Quincy, 33, Christian, 26, and 17-year-old twins Jessie and D’Lila stated:
“We have seen many hurtful and false rumors circulating about our parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs, as well as about our mom’s tragic passing, and we feel the need to speak out. Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue; she did not, and anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves.
Additionally, please understand that any so-called “friend” speaking on behalf of our mom or her family is not a friend and does not have her best interests at heart. Our lives were shattered when we lost our mother; she was our world, and nothing has been the same since her passing. While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could be taken from us too soon, the cause of her death has long been established: there was no foul play.
Grief is a lifelong process, and we ask that everyone respect our request for peace as we continue to cope with her loss every day. We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle of what has been the most tragic event of our lives. Our mother should be remembered for the beautiful, strong, kind, and loving woman she was. Her memory should not be tainted by horrific conspiracy theories.
We ask that everyone please respect our mother, Kim Porter, and hold her legacy in high regard so that she may rest in peace. It’s what she deserves. We love you and miss you, Mommy. Quincy, Christian, Jessie & D’Lila.”
