Influencer Nara Smith has bravely shared the heartbreaking news about her 2-year-old daughter Whimsy Lou’s cancer diagnosis with her followers. In an emotional video posted on July 1, Nara revealed that the diagnosis came “late last year,” leaving many in shock.
Nara, who shares Whimsy with her husband, model Lucky Blue Smith, also has three other children: daughter Rumble Honey, 5, son Slim Easy, 4, and newborn daughter Fawnie Golden, born in September 2025. Lucky is also a father to his daughter, Gravity, from his relationship with model Stormi Bree.

“When we saw something suspicious on her, we took her to the ER and they didn’t quite know what to make of it,” Nara explained in the video. “When we took her into our pediatrician, I just remember him going really quiet and calm.” It was this unsettling calm that led Nara to fear the worst. “My heart dropped in that moment,” she confessed. “I don’t know if it was my gut telling me something or just a mom’s intuition, but the first thing that I felt was she has cancer.”
Following the pediatrician’s advice, the couple rushed Whimsy to the nearest children’s hospital for further testing. Nara recalled, “After a lot of X-rays, ultrasounds and finally a biopsy, they immediately called us and said that she had cancer, told us it had spread and that she needs to come and start chemo treatments immediately.”

Opening up about her own emotional journey, Nara admitted that turning to online forums and social media provided her with comfort. “All of that combined really brought me a lot of comfort and alleviated the feeling of loneliness for me,” she shared. “Processing this and navigating all of this as a family has been really hard.”
As she navigates this challenging time, Nara has taken a step back from posting. “A lot of you have probably realized that I’ve been posting a little less and this is the reason why,” she revealed. “Having found all of this out and navigating this while postpartum, also loving and caring for our other kids at home, also being in the hospital with Whimsy a lot and balancing work on top of that has been really challenging.”
“Some days are a little easier, some days are really hard, and all I can do is try my best and show up in all those areas in the best way that I can,” she reflected, showing her strength in the face of adversity.
Nara concluded by explaining her decision to share Whimsy’s story, hoping it might help others feel less alone. “It could even incentivize you to go get something checked out that you’ve been avoiding,” she encouraged. In the caption, she expressed her gratitude, writing, “Thankful for each and every nurse and doctor along our journey who helped us get through and out the other end
.”
