Khloé Kardashian is making it clear that she doesn’t like the narrative being pushed about her past marriage to Lamar Odom.
Khloé is now opening up about how she feels after doing what she described as a “favor” by appearing in his documentary.
She reportedly said she is “beyond done” with her ex-husband following what she described as a “f–ked up” claim that he only married her for fame. That alone already sets the tone. Because let’s be real, nobody wants their entire relationship reduced to a strategic career move.
Inside “Untold: The Death and Life of Lamar Odom” Controversy
The drama centers around the Netflix documentary Untold: The Death and Life of Lamar Odom, which dropped last month. The project was supposed to give insight into Odom’s life, struggles, and comeback. Instead, it also reopened conversations about his relationship with Khloé.
During the documentary, one of Odom’s friends allegedly claimed that he married Khloé Kardashian back in September 2009 to “better his future” with her “mad connections.” That statement didn’t just raise eyebrows. It basically detonated a whole new wave of criticism. Khloé, now 41, didn’t let that slide. She addressed it head-on, calling the allegation “insane” and pointing out that “he hasn’t said that for years.”
That part matters. Because if something wasn’t part of the narrative before, suddenly bringing it back now feels… convenient. Or at the very least, messy.
Also, the timing is interesting. The documentary release came with press, attention, and renewed public interest in Odom’s life. So naturally, anything controversial tied to it was bound to blow up.
Still, Khloé’s frustration makes sense. She participated in the documentary thinking it was one thing. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, another narrative was allegedly being pushed. And that’s where things start to feel a little off.
Khloe Kardashian Says She Feels “Dumb” For Helping Lamar Odom
This is where things get real personal.
Khloé didn’t just express annoyance. She actually opened up about feeling used. And she said it plainly, no sugarcoating.
The Good American co-creator said, “You’re asking me to be in your documentary and behind the scenes, you and your friends are all saying you were with me just for fame? That’s some f–ked up s–t. I feel so dumb. I spent hours and time doing this documentary as a favor. I’m not paid one penny.”
That quote alone tells you everything about her mindset. First, she emphasized that she wasn’t paid. That means she genuinely showed up out of support. And second, she highlighted the disconnect between what she thought she was contributing to versus what was allegedly being said behind her back.
Also, let’s not ignore the emotional weight behind “I feel so dumb.” That’s not just frustration. That’s disappointment in yourself for trusting someone again.
And if we’re being honest, a lot of people have been there. Doing something out of loyalty, only to realize later it wasn’t fully appreciated or respected.
Khloe Kardashian Accuses Lamar Odom Of Discrediting Her
Khloé didn’t stop there. She continued to call out what she sees as a pattern of behavior that crosses the line.
Additionally, she blasted the retired NBA player, now 49, for “pissing [her] off” by inviting her into the project, then “insinuating [she’s] a liar” and “discrediting” her afterward.
That’s a serious accusation. Because once someone starts questioning your credibility publicly, it’s not just about feelings anymore. It’s about reputation.
She also addressed how Odom has been speaking in the media recently.
“Now Lamar is doing press annoyed with me,” the “Kardashians” star said. “Saying that I wasn’t the one that helped him [after his near-fatal 2015 overdose].
“For years, he was singing my praises,” she added. “You’re not now gonna s–t on me and play in my face because you don’t like the reaction and the response from the public. … He’s trying to sort of slander me a little, which frustrates me.”
