If you’ve seen photos online of Tyler Perry and Marlo Hampton looking cozy or even appearing to flirt at a brunch and assumed they might be dating, think again. Reports of a romance between the two are completely false!
As perfectly pointed out by our girl @lorenlorsa, Tyler Perry attended Catherine Brewton’s Gospel Brunch in Atlanta last Sunday. He was invited by HU’s own Jason Lee and was seated next to The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Marlo Hampton. In photos from the event, Marlo can be seen with her arm around him, smiling, laughing, and clearly having a grand ol’ time.
Of course, social media took things to the next level, even going as far as creating AI-generated images of the two kissing! Now, if there were any truth to the rumors, you likely would’ve seen it reported here first. In reality, this was the first time Perry and Hampton had ever spent time together, they didn’t know each other personally prior to the event.
Photographer Freddy-O also shared that Perry wasn’t particularly interested in taking photos or being overly visible, as he was simply there to support Catherine Brewton and spend time with Jason Lee.
Marlo, known for her fun and bubbly personality, hasn’t addressed the rumors publicly, and neither has Perry. However, given how booked and busy both of them are, it’s unlikely they’ll take the time to respond.
