Pop star Kesha is speaking out after the official The White House TikTok account used her 2010 track Blow in a video highlighting military strikes connected to what officials described as “Operation Epic Fury.”
The video, which circulated widely on the social platform TikTok, featured clips of fighter jets and bombing footage while the song played in the background.
The singer later addressed the situation on X, stating she did not approve of her music being used in that context. Her response quickly gained traction online as fans and commentators debated the use of pop music in political or military messaging.
The incident highlights ongoing conversations around how music can be used in political content, especially when artists themselves do not authorize or support the message associated with their work. While the White House account has shared multiple videos promoting military actions, this particular post gained significant attention due to Kesha’s direct response.
Reports indicate that several videos were posted highlighting the operation, which was described as a coordinated attack involving the United States and Israel. The posts featured dramatic footage and music soundtracks designed to emphasize the scale of the military activity.
Kesha’s comments added another layer to the discussion, bringing attention to the relationship between artists, intellectual property, and political messaging on social media platforms.
Kesha Responds After Her Song “Blow” Appears In White House Pro-War TikTok Video
After learning that her song had been used in the video, Kesha addressed the situation publicly. The singer wrote a message explaining that she did not approve of her music being used in connection with the video.
“It’s come to my attention that The White House has used one of my songs on TikTok to incite violence and threaten war,” she wrote on X. “Trying to make light of war is disgusting and inhumane.
I absolutely do NOT approve of my music being used to promote violence of any kind. Love always trumps hate.”
Her statement spread rapidly across social media platforms, drawing attention from fans, political commentators, and entertainment outlets. In the same thread, Kesha continued her message by explaining how she viewed the situation.
“This show of blatant disregard for human life and quite frankly this attack on all of our nervous systems is the opposite of what I stand for.”
The singer also referenced former President Donald Trump in the same series of posts.
“Also, don’t let this distract us from the fact that criminal predator Donald Trump appears in the Files over a million times,” Kesha added, referencing the Epstein files. In a follow-up post, she wrote another direct response: “Stop using my music, perverts.”
