A North Carolina father is speaking through unimaginable pain after losing his only child in a heartbreaking and senseless act of violence.
According to reports, the incident happened in Raleigh on a Friday morning. A 15-year-old boy, Cayden, was at home when two teenagers came over.

Cayden’s father, CJ Alston, shared emotional details about the moments leading up to his son’s death. He explained that he had already warned his son the night before not to have anyone over. However, like many teenagers, Cayden made a decision that would tragically cost him his life.
“I literally told Cayden that night before, I’m like, ‘They can’t come back over here. You can’t have no company,’” Alston said.
Despite that warning, the two boys came to the home the next morning. According to Alston, Cayden was trying to sell them a pair of jeans. However, things quickly went left when a disagreement broke out over payment. The boys reportedly refused to pay, while Cayden refused to hand over the jeans without receiving his money.

“Cayden was in here running around, trying to clean up his own blood – from the bathroom, the closet door, the kitchen, everywhere. He even had a roll of tissue that has his bloody handprint on it,” he said.
