Megan Thee Stallion just reminded everybody why she’s that girl..not just in music, but in real life too. This rap star took to social media with sweet update: she just rescued a dog who was literally on the brink of being put down.
Meg hopped online Thursday night and she did it: “Ok, you guys, so I’ve rescued a dog. Because I was yesterday-years-old when I found out there was such a thing as a kill shelter and they are putting down dogs when they cannot find them a home. That is insane,” the Hiss rapper added.
Now listen, once Meg found that out, it was a wrap. She said her new baby, a pup named Tyger, was just moments away from being euthanized before she stepped in. “I said no way. Just give him to me and I’ll take him.”
For those who don’t know, so-called kill shelters are open-admission facilities, meaning they take in animals no matter what. But because of limited space and resources, they sometimes have no choice but to euthanize pets who don’t get adopted in time. It’s a harsh reality and clearly one Meg wasn’t about to ignore.
While she didn’t say exactly which shelter Tyger came from, what she did show was pure joy. In a viral clip already pushing close to 800K views on TikTok, Tyger comes trotting over when Meg calls him, tail wagging, ready to love on his new mama.
Now, one question still hanging in the air: how is her first fur baby gonna react? Meg joked that she’s not quite sure how her OG pup, Foe Thee Frenchie, is “gonna feel about this.” But here sure she will provide fans with some sweet updates.
Clearly, Megan Thee Stallion isn’t just saving charts, she’s saving dog lives too.
