Papoose recently stopped by The Breakfast Club, and as expected, the conversation quickly turned to his highly publicized breakup from his estranged wife, rapper Remy Ma.
As previously reported, Remy Ma accused Papoose of cheating with boxing champion Claressa Shields. At the same time, Remy herself faced allegations of stepping out on their marriage, which ultimately led to a messy and very public split played out online. Despite the back-and-forth, both Papoose and Remy Ma have denied being unfaithful.
During the interview, Papoose reiterated that the cheating accusations simply don’t add up when you look at their history. He pointed out that even during one of the most difficult periods of their relationship, there were no rumors attached to his name. Remy Ma spent six years in prison after being sentenced to eight years for assault, illegal weapons possession, and attempted coercion stemming from a 2007 shooting incident. According to Papoose, there was never any talk of infidelity during that time, emphasizing that they’ve always lived their lives openly and transparently.
Papoose’s current girlfriend of nearly two years, boxing champ Claressa Shields, also chimed in, noting that divorce is a process and takes time. Papoose echoed that sentiment and made it clear that there’s no lingering animosity, stating that he wishes Remy Ma “the best,” especially since she has also moved on with Eazy The Block Captain.
Papoose officially filed for divorce from Remy Ma in May 2025, citing irreconcilable differences and infidelity. The filing sparked a public social media feud, with both artists airing grievances involving cheating allegations, finances, and claims of stalled paperwork. While Remy Ma asserted that she had already signed the divorce documents, Papoose shared court receipts online to show that he was the one who formally initiated the process.
Once celebrated as a symbol of Black love, the former couple appeared to be at odds just months ago. However, things now seem to have cooled off significantly.
Most recently, Papoose and Remy Ma were spotted together celebrating their daughter’s birthday. The moment appeared peaceful, with the family seemingly enjoying a calm and positive time together—suggesting that while their relationship has changed, mutual respect remains where it matters most.
