The singer and star of “Real Housewives of Potomac” shared the exciting news about her baby’s arrival exclusively with PEOPLE. The thrilled new mom expressed her happiness, saying, “He is just the cutest little thing. Chris and I couldn’t be happier,” referring to their new bundle of joy, who was born on Thursday, October 3. “It’s so cliché to say, but he’s brought such joy to our lives in ways I never would have been able to describe before. It’s pure love!”
While talking to the outlet, Candiace also revealed the significance behind their son’s name. “The meaning of his name was really important to me. I mean, there were a lot of names I liked that had meanings I did not like, so that just automatically tossed them out,” she recalled. “But as soon as I read the meaning of his name, I was like, ‘This is it. This is his name.'”

While this is Candiace’s first baby, Chris is already a proud father to Owen, 22, Mateo, 14, and Naya, 10, from two previous relationships.
Having tied the knot with Chris in August 2018, Candiace shared with the outlet that motherhood has been such a rewarding experience that she’s eager to expand their family.
“Oh, I wish I started sooner, because I already want more,” Candiace confided to PEOPLE. “And that’s a shocking feeling to admit because I hesitated and was afraid and doubted myself for so long. All of those circumstances around becoming a mom, like being pregnant, raising a child, etc.? It really scared me. But it’s been everything and more. I love it.”
