Kamala Harris and President Biden React to the Racist “Jokes” Made About Latinos and Puerto Rico at Trump’s NYC Rally

There’s a time and place for everything, and comedian Tony Hinchcliffe had to learn this lesson the hard way. As we previously reported, the entertainer crudely mocked Latinos last night during a live-streamed rally for former President Donald Trump at Madison Square Garden.

Hinchcliffe kicked off the event and immediately dove into his disparaging set of jokes about the conflict in the Middle East, Black voters, and Latinos. He remarked, “These Latinos, they love making babies, too. Just know that they do. There’s no pulling out. They don’t do that. They come inside, just like they did to our country.” He continued with another questionable joke, stating, “There’s a lot going on. I don’t know if you guys know this, but there’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico.”

While the crowd seemed to enjoy his comedic segment, everyone else did not find it funny… at all. This Monday, Vice President Kamala Harris condemned the tone of former President Donald Trump’s rally. She said, “I think last night, Donald Trump’s event in Madison Square Garden really highlighted a point that I’ve been making throughout this campaign. He is focused and actually fixated on his grievances, on himself and on dividing our country,” Harris told reporters before heading to Michigan.

President Biden, on the other hand, voiced his embarrassment regarding the situation, saying, “It’s embarrassing. Just simply embarrassing. It’s beneath any president, but that’s what we’re getting used to. That’s why this election is so important. You know, most presidential scholars I’ve spoken to talk about the single most consequential thing about a president is character. Character. And — and he puts that in question every time he opens his mouth.”

The Trump campaign has since responded to the backlash, with senior Trump campaign adviser Danielle Alvarez stating, “This joke does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign,” in a statement to Fox News Digital.
