Although the pursuit began in Hawthorne, the driver continued to evade deputies and police officers into the West Los Angeles area. The suspect was seen speeding through red lights at speeds exceeding 60 mph and driving against traffic during rush-hour. Throughout the chase, the suspect hopped on Instagram live while escaping from law enforcement. During the wild pursuit a woman could be heard shouting in the background. She begged him to release her and their baby from the vehicle, but it wasn’t until later that they were able to safely exit the car.
