Marlon Wayans and his well-known comedic family are facing a serious situation as authorities report that his home in the Los Angeles area has been burglarized.
According to law enforcement sources who spoke to TMZ, Marlon Wayans was not present at the time of the burglary, but his brother Keenen Ivory Wayans was at the house around 2:30 AM last Saturday when two bold thieves targeted the residence. The burglars reportedly entered Marlon Wayans’ residence by sneaking into his backyard, breaking a back window, and gaining access to the house.
The news outlet also reports that Keenen briefly woke up when he heard some noises but brushed it off and went back to bed. Law enforcement officials stated that one of Marlon’s employees arrived at the house around 8:00 AM and noticed the home had been broken into. Keenen was reportedly surprised to learn that the burglars had stolen a safe and a significant amount of cash.
Authorities have initiated an investigation and are searching the neighborhood for any potential video footage, but as of now, no arrests have been made.
Los Angeles has unfortunately seen a rise in burglaries targeting celebrity homes.
Just last month, the residences of former NBA player Patrick Patterson and NBA guard Talen Horton-Tucker were both broken into.
