#Socialites, get into this! An out of control employee completely lost her cool during her shift last week.
According to local news station WESH2, Lakeland Police Department shared that a confrontation broke out when customers in the drive-thru expressed their dissatisfaction with their order to 22-year-old McDonald’s employee Chassidy Gardner. As some voiced their complaints, one argument ensued at the window. The situation escalated when Gardner threw a drink at the dissatisfied customers.
Clearly feeling provoked, two customers exited their vehicle and forcibly opened the drive-thru window. They retaliated by throwing drinks at Gardner, who had armed herself with a handgun by this point. The situation became even more dangerous as Gardner confronted the customers outside the restaurant. Now, as the customers drove away from the scene, Gardner allegedly fired her weapon, striking the vehicle at least once. The sound of gunfire startled both customers and employees, leaving the area in chaos. Thankfully and very fortunately, no one was injured as a result of the gunshots.

However, law enforcement officers swiftly arrived at the scene and found both parties still present. Gardner was immediately taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Altercations between McDonald’s employees and customers are relatively rare occurrences considering the vast number of interactions that take place at McDonald’s restaurants worldwide on a daily basis. However, like any customer service industry, occasional conflicts may arise due to various factors such as miscommunication, dissatisfaction with an order, or other issues.
McDonald’s has not yet released an official statement regarding the incident. However, it is expected that they will cooperate fully with the authorities and conduct an internal investigation to ensure the safety and well-being of their customers and employees.
