In recent news, it has been reported that Diddy has decided to drop his $60 million lawsuit against his former clothing line, Sean John. This comes as the music mogul faces multiple sexual assault allegations.
The businessman mogul founded Sean John in 1998 and later sold a majority stake to Global Brands Group in 2016. However, this year, Diddy filed several lawsuits against the company, alleging that they used his image and likeness to market Sean John clothing without his consent.
In the midst of that, Diddy also accused Global Brands Group of unauthorized use of his image in a marketing collaboration with retail store Missguided. Despite managing to take back control of the company by purchasing it for $7.5 million after Global Brands Group’s bankruptcy, Diddy still continued his legal battle.
While he seemed ready to put up a good legal fight, that has come to a stop amid his other legal issues that’s tarnishing his reputation and career. According to AllHipHop, Diddy has voluntarily dismissed all claims and counterclaims related to the Sean John case.
A rep for Diddy has not yet released a statement on this matter.
