Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, has filed to drop the surname “Pitt” from her legal name. The teenager is requesting a new legal name and hopes to be known simply as “Shiloh Jolie.” The documents for the name change were filed on Monday, May 27, which also happened to be Shiloh’s 18th birthday, according to TMZ.

Now, Shiloh’s decision to drop the “Pitt” surname follows a trend within the Jolie-Pitt family. Their daughter Vivienne, who helped Angelina Jolie produce the new musical The Outsiders, was listed as “Vivienne Jolie” in the Playbill instead of “Vivienne Jolie-Pitt.” However, it is unclear if Vivienne has also legally changed her name.

Additionally, Brad Pitt’s eldest daughter Zahara has chosen to forgo a hyphenated last name. When she joined the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College in November, she introduced herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie” during the initiation ceremony.
