In a recent interview on the America Nu Network, Damon Dash, shares his thoughts on the disturbing surveillance footage that captured Sean “Diddy” Combs assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie in 2016.
During the show, the record label executive expressed his disappointment and loss of respect for the music mogul. He also said that such actions would be unforgivable if they were directed towards his own daughters.
“You know, you can’t unsee that,” Dash said before continuing, “it’s really a shame.” Dash who once looked at his relationship with Diddy as the “brotherhood of hip-hop” went on to share that when he saw the disturbing footage it made him think of his own daughters. “If that were something I see happened to my daughters, puff… he’s dead. I don’t think I could handle watching any many touching or doing any kind of violence to my daughters. Dash went on to say that when he saw his apology video it made him question m how Diddy — a father of 7 — would react if he actually witnessed a man put his hands on his daughter… a looming thought Dash still can’t seem to fathom.
Dame Dash expresses that he has lost respect for Diddy and says Diddy would be dead if he were caught on camera beating his daughters, as he did Cassie in the leaked hotel video.

As the world became aware of the assault video released by CNN earlier this month, Diddy publicly admitted to his reprehensible behavior, expressing deep remorse and acknowledging that his actions were inexcusable.
The footage depicted Diddy, wearing only a white towel, physically assaulting Cassie, an R&B singer and his former protege and girlfriend at the time. The video also revealed instances of Diddy shoving, dragging, and even throwing objects at Cassie, creating a distressing scene.
Diddy’s Apology and Legal Consequences:
Following the release of the assault video, Diddy took full responsibility for his actions, expressing his disgust and remorse. He publicly apologized via social media, acknowledging his poor behavior and the pain he caused Cassie.
This incident also prompted Cassie, whose legal name is Cassandra Ventura, to file a lawsuit against Diddy in November of the same year, alleging years of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. Although the lawsuit was settled the next day, it triggered further legal actions against Diddy, including additional lawsuits and a federal criminal sex-trafficking investigation that led to the search of Diddy’s properties in Los Angeles and Miami.
Diddy is nowhere out of the woods as he now faces possible federal grand jury indictment.
