Looks like someone has been sipping on a little Haterade… John Schneider is receiving backlash over his comments about Beyonce.
As many are aware by now, the megastar recently dipped her toes into the world of country music, causing a stir in the industry. However, not everyone is thrilled about her foray into this new genre, with some even going as far as comparing her to a urinating dog marking its territory… TV star and singer John Schneider is currently making headlines for linking Beyoncé’s venture into country music to a dog peeing on a tree to mark its territory. In a scathing interview on the OAN network, Schneider criticized the entertainment industry for not leaving country music solely to conservatives, expressing his disapproval of Beyoncé’s crossover.
Beyoncé’s surprise release of two new country songs, “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages,” along with the announcement of a full country album set to drop on March 29, caught many off guard. While some fans were excited to see the versatile artist explore a new genre, others, including certain country stations, were less enthusiastic and refused to play her music. The controversy surrounding Beyoncé’s country music debut has sparked a debate on social media, with opinions divided on whether her crossover is a welcome addition to the genre or an unwelcome intrusion. “They’ve got to make their mark, like a dog at a dog walk park, you know every dog has to mark every tree, so that’s what’s going on here,” Schneider said while appearing on the show.

Schneider’s comparison of Beyoncé to a dog marking its territory has drawn mixed reactions, with many slamming him for his remarks. But does anyone really care what he has to say? To note, although he’s best known for his work as an actor, Schneider hismelf took a dip in the country music. He actually released a bunch of albums with several hitting on the country charts back in the ‘80s. Still, the Beyhive is reminding him to play with someone else! Here’s how fans have been reacting:

John Schneider is a 63 year old actor from New York who once played a southerner driving a car with a confederate flag. He is criticizing a musician from Texas & her choice to make country music. A music form started in the south and southwest, like where Texas is located. Sigh. https://t.co/K5WwAUDbd7

Hey @John_Schneider, why didn’t you tell @OANN what it felt like to be paid all of that money by @TPstudios @tylerperry to star on a Black show on a Black network @OWNTV? Tell them what you did strutting on the @naacpimageaward red carpet. No woke talk there. 1/ https://t.co/Fs0QCUjAh0

So, I mentioned this racist tweet from #JohnSchneider about Beyoncé to a student today, and her response was, "Who's John Schneider?"
'Nuff said. https://t.co/g8S0CWIb0n

Despite how people may feel about Beyoncé’s new move, it’s clear that she makes the right one each time. Just a reminder, Beyoncé made history at the 2023 GRAMMYs by becoming the artist with the most GRAMMY wins — ever — when she won the GRAMMY for Best Dance/Electronic Music Album for her 2022 album, Renaissance. Now, she counts 32 total GRAMMY wins.
As Beyoncé continues to push boundaries and defy expectations in her career, one thing is certain: her foray into country music is sure to leave a lasting impact on the industry, whether critics approve or not.
