Jeannie Mai Reportedly Asks Judge To Hold Off On Enforcing Prenup — Claims She Didn’t Have Enough Time To Review It Before Signing It

Jeannie Mai has reportedly asked a judge to hold off on enforcing her prenuptial agreement with her ex-husband Jeezy. Mai claims that she did not have enough time to thoroughly review the agreement before signing it. In her request filed with the Fulton County Superior Court, Mai seeks to either deny Jeezy’s motion to enforce the prenup or postpone its enforcement until both parties can exchange information about its terms.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Jeannie Mai argues that the prenuptial agreement process was rushed. Negotiations began just five days before their wedding, leaving her with limited time to conduct a comprehensive examination of the agreement. Mai expresses concerns about the adequacy and thoroughness of the due diligence process, stating that she did not have the opportunity to scrutinize Jeezy’s financial disclosures to ensure a fair deal.

Furthermore, Mai’s legal team also raises doubts about Jeezy’s financial disclosures. They claim that the rapper only provided one personal financial statement with approximate tax information, which falls short of what Mai believes she is entitled to. She asserts her right to a thorough examination of all relevant documents, suggesting that the limited disclosure raises significant reservations about the accuracy and completeness of Jeezy’s financial information.

The Divorce and Allegations:

Jeezy filed for divorce from Jeannie Mai in September, citing irretrievable brokenness in their marriage. In his music, Jeezy seemingly implied that he believed Mai had cheated on him, but she vehemently denied any allegations of infidelity.

In fact, Mai went a step further and suggested that Jeezy might have been the one who possibly cheated, hinting that the prenuptial agreement would hold him accountable if proven true.

Jeannie has recently spoke out on their breakup while appearing on the Tamron Hall show. She said “When I found out at the same time as the rest of the world that my marriage was ending in divorce, I was gutted.” Mai who shares daughter Monaco Jenkins with Jeezy went on to say, “Even though this year I met the most broken version of me, I also met the strongest version of me.”

“Today, it’s about picking up the pieces; it’s about discovering me, being a mom to the best blessing in my life, my little girl. Monaco is everything. She’s just my whole world,” she said in December.

With Jeannie Mai’s recent request to delay the enforcement of their prenup, it appears that their divorce is becoming increasingly messy. As the legal proceedings unfold, it remains to be seen how the court will address Mai’s concerns and whether the prenuptial agreement will ultimately be enforced.
