#Socialites, would you get a load of this! Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are sending out a public apology to their fans after it was made public that they sent letters to the judge of Danny Masterson’s sexual assault trial, in which they call their “That ’70s Show” co-star a “role model.”

The couple posted a video to Kutcher’s Instagram page this Saturday and said, “We are aware of the pain that has been caused by the character letters that we wrote on behalf of Danny Masterson,” Kutcher explained. “We support victims. We have done this historically through our work and will continue to do so in the future,” Kunis added.

Breaking down their support for their former co-star, they went on to share that they wrote the letters to “represent the person that we knew for 25 years.” “The letters were not written to question the legitimacy of the judicial system, or the validity of the jury’s ruling,” Kunis says. “They were intended for the judge to read and not to undermine the testimony of the victims or re-traumatize them in any way,” Kutcher also explained. “We would never want to do that, and we’re sorry if that has taken place.”
