Three firefighters in New Mexico have been charged with gang-raping a colleague’s sister. The incident allegedly occurred after a day of heavy drinking at a golf tournament in July when the woman, who is the sister of the suspects’ female colleague, agreed to go to one of the firefighter’s homes. According to police documents, the woman stated that she “began to fade” and when she regained consciousness, one of the firefighters was instructing the other two on how to rape her. Fortunately, the woman managed to escape and immediately reported the incident to the police, with an affidavit claiming that one of the men allegedly searched up, “How long does DNA stay in vagina?” after the attack
The accused firefighters, Albuquerque Fire Rescue Lt. Aden Heyman, Firefighter Angel Portillo, and retired driver Anthony Martin, are now facing charges and are being held in custody. Sources further revealed that text messages between the accused firefighters were found, revealing their vow of silence regarding what took place on July 15. Martin is alleged to have written his colleagues, “I would hope it doesn’t get out unless the worst happens or we mention it. Which I won’t ever.”
Despite the evidence against them, the firefighters have refused to cooperate with investigators while their lawyers have denied the allegations against them. The accused men are now awaiting trial. But the severity of the charges and the evidence presented against them suggest that this will not be an easy case for them to defend.
The incident has had repercussions beyond just the criminal charges. The three firefighters have been placed on administrative leave by the Albuquerque Fire Department. They will remain on leave until the investigation is complete. The department has stated that they will fully cooperate with the police investigation, emphasizing their commitment to ensuring justice is served in this case.

The charges against these three firefighters for allegedly gang-raping a colleague’s sister are deeply disturbing. The evidence presented, including text messages and disturbing online searches, further emphasizes the severity of the case. While the accused firefighters have denied the allegations, they are now facing criminal charges and are being held in custody. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of accountability and proper conduct within our emergency services.
