Meek Mill Goes Back And Forth With Resellers Who Were Charging Him $500 For A Pair Of Sneakers

Looks like Meek Mill has sparked a debate online after footage shows him giving game to a reseller on how to handle business.

While attending the Got Sole sneaker convention, Meek was trying to cop some Jordan 4’s and the reseller was charging him $500. In the viral video, the Philly rapper can be heard saying, “I can buy these from the store for the regular price why would I buy them here for $500?” He questioned. “I can give you a free commercial that’s a bad move. I gotta teach you how to hustle.”

“I could buy these from the store for $300 and you want $500..that’s a bad move, but I’ma buy them from you but that’s a bad sell. You’re suppose to give it to Meek Mill for the low, get the commercial and I might come back and buy more.”

Reselling shoes has become a popular way to make money for many individuals. There are a lot of companies who resell Jordan’s for a living, but now some social media users are divided on whether Meek Mill’s comments were right or wrong. One social user jumped in the comments and said, “Hustling backwards..should have gave Meek that pair and an additional one for $500. Sure you take the loss upfront but now you’re locked in as Meek Mill’s shoe plug and can supply him and his team with all the sneakers they need.” Another person chimed in saying, “Why he telling another man how to run his business? Respect his price or keep it pushing.”

Meek Mill, whose real name is Robert Rihmeek Williams, first gained significant recognition and what could be considered his “big break” in the music industry around the early 2010s. His breakthrough moment came with the release of his fourth mixtape titled “Dreamchasers” in 2011. This mixtape received widespread attention and helped him establish a larger fanbase.

However, it wasn’t until his signing with Rick Ross’s Maybach Music Group (MMG) later in 2011 that his career truly took off. Being associated with a well-known label like MMG provided Meek Mill with greater exposure and resources to promote his music. His debut studio album, “Dreams and Nightmares,” was released in 2012 under MMG and included his hit single “Amen” featuring Drake. The album’s success solidified Meek Mill’s place in the mainstream hip-hop scene and further contributed to his rise.
