Just hours before former President Donald Trump is expected to turn himself into Georgia authorities, he reportedly made a huge change to his legal team. Per CNN, Trump dropped Drew Findling, who has been his lawyer defending him in the case, and replaced him with “Billion Dollar Lawyer” Steve Sadow.

He is the Atlanta-based attorney who has represented rappers T.I., Offset, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, and most recently Gunna, prior to the rapper pleading guilty in his own Georgia RICO case with fellow YSL rapper Young Thug, and getting out of jail.

Sadow reportedly released a statement to CNN and said, I have been retained to represent President Trump in the Fulton County, Georgia case. The president should never have been indicted. He is innocent of all the charges brought against him. We look forward to the case being dismissed or, if necessary, an unbiased, open-minded jury finding the president not guilty. Prosecutions intended to advance or serve the ambitions and careers of political opponents of the president have no place in our justice system.

Prior to swapping his attorney for Gunna’s lawyer, Trump was indicted by the same District Attorney as Gunna and Young Thug, D.A. Fani Willis earlier this month. In additional to the YSL gang, Willis put Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) charge on Trump. As we know, Trump and 18 of his allies are all facing multiple charges in the Fulton County grand jury’s indictment.

The most serious count is the RICO charge. In the indictment, Trump has been hit with 13 felonies in conjunction with his efforts to overturn Georgia’s 2020 election results.

Elsewhere, it is reported that the conditions of Trump’s surrender has been outlined by the judge overseeing the case. Trump will be granted bail set at $200,000. However, this bail comes with certain conditions to which he must adhere. The judge has warned Trump not to intimidate or threaten witnesses or his co-defendants during the proceedings.

Additionally, Trump is prohibited from communicating with his co-defendants except through lawyers and from making any threats or posts on social media. These strict release conditions reflect the seriousness of the charges against him and demonstrate the court’s commitment to ensuring a fair trial.
