Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler’s daughter Alabama has entered the rap space and she has the full support of both her parents, especially her mom!
While speaking with Page Six the model shares just how proud she is of her 17-year-old daughter and her new career. She told the outlet: “I think her rap career is amazing. My kids were raised on a tour bus from the time they were born.”
She went on to say, “Every creed, every race is going to love hip-hop and rap that’s not gonna change,” she added. “So for me, it is a very natural progression for [Alabama], because she’s been in the studio with her father with the greatest musicians in the world.”
Back in May, Hollywood Unlocked share a video snippet of her first rap song and it got a lot of great feedback. Rap veteran The Game commented “NGL… she in pocket!” Baddies star Jelahminah also said, “Okayyy! I like this. She sounds good. Her flow is good. She’s ON BEAT! Hair slayed. I ain’t mad at all.” Love and Hip-Hop star Tammy Rivera added, “Come thru Alabama!”

Of course, being in the public eye comes with some haters. However, Moakler believes that she’s on the right track thanks to her dad. Though Moakler added “I think her father both understands the nature of the industry [and] that genre of music. I think there’s a real love for it, and I think there’s a deep respect for it as well. I know that they would never do anything without that respect.”
Rap music has long been a platform for individuals to convey their experiences, emotions, and perspectives in a raw and authentic manner. Shanna Moakler understands the potential for Alabama Barker to find her voice through rap, fostering self-confidence and empowerment. By defending her daughter’s rap career, Shanna is encouraging Alabama to stand tall and embrace her talent, regardless of external opinions.
