The Metro Nashville Police Department released bodycam footage on Tuesday morning showing the moment cops entered the Nashville Covenant School and executed Audrey Hale.

As previously reported, the 28-year-old entered the elementary school on Monday morning with two assault rifles and a pistol before gunning down three children and three staff members. The confrontation between police and Hale appeared to have been no easy task as the former graphic designer is heard continuously shooting as cops tell her to drop her weapon.

Given the size of the building, police made their way through classrooms on the first floor before rushing up the stairs and down a hallway where they eventually come face to face with Hale who stands nearby a window. One of the officers is heard yelling “reloading” as another cop fires multiple shots at Hale who drops to the ground.

Police officer Michael Collazo begins to walk closer to the shooter while she was laying on the ground but refused to remain still. He pushed forward and opened fire on Hale with his handgun, telling her to “Stop moving!” After her weapons had been moved away, the officers are then heard saying, “Suspect down! Suspect down!” Investigators are still puzzling together Hale’s motive behind her shooting spree at the Christian school yesterday morning.

The police stated that on Monday morning, Hale was equipped with a minimum of two assault rifles plus a handgun. He is said to have entered the school from a side entrance and reportedly discharged numerous shots through the doorway as he was heading into the structure.

At 10.27 am, officers shot and killed Hale following a 14-minute attack. John Drake, the head of the police, reported that they discovered a document that contained a plan, along with diagrams of the school which included information on the available entry and exit points and surveillance methods.

The police chief informed journalists that the suspect was ready for a confrontation with officers. Drake told NBC News that the school shooter probably had bigger plans than just the school, as the manifesto showed that there were going to be shootings at multiple locations, with the school being one of them.

As further information concerning the school violence appears and authorities search for an explanation, this is what has been disclosed concerning the perpetrator.

According to sources, Norma Fort Hale, the mother of the shooter, is an employee of The Village Chapel, a house of worship located in Nashville. Previously, she had shared her opinion on social media platforms following school shooting incidents and had advocated for more stringent gun regulation.

She publicized the Sandy Hook Promise petition on Facebook, asserting its significance and encouraging people to “keep guns out of schools,” as reported by the Independent.

The woman spoke to an ABC News reporter, asking for privacy. She stated, “It’s really hard at the moment. I can’t say anything else. I’m afraid I might have lost my daughter today.”

The father of the person who committed the shooting is being interviewed by the police.
