During an appearance on CBS Morning to promote the upcoming film Creed III, Michael B. Jordan spoke a little about his personal life including his split from Lori Harvey.
While speaking with Gayle King, the 35-year-old clarified his monologue on SNL where he jokingly mentioned that he’s been on a dating app Raya following his break up with the model who he had been in a relationship with for a little bit over a year.
“I think for me it’s just that I was lucky enough to have a lot of work,” Jordan explained. “I’m a firm believer in that what’s for you is what’s for you, and coming out of that situation — not to give it, you know, any energy and kind of move from that — is you know, it was an experience for me to grow and learn.”
The former couple decided to split in June 2022. A source explained at the time to PEOPLE that “Michael and Lori are both completely heartbroken. They still love each other. Michael matured a lot over the course of their relationship and was ready to commit for the long term. He let down his guard with her, opening up emotionally in a romantic relationship for the first time,” adds the source. “They had great times together and brought out the best in each other.”
Despite that, Jordan said during Wednesday’s interview that he’s confident “so many great things” are ahead for him.
“I’m in my light right now. This is my Jordan year, I mean that,” the actor-turned-director told King. “This is my year. There’s so much going on, so many blessings, so many great things.”

Welp, Lori wasted no time moving on from the actor. Instead she’s now in a relationship with Snowfall star, Damson Idris. The two made their relationship Instagram official amid her 26th birthday. He shared a photo of himself giving Harvey a kiss on the cheek. “Happy Birthday Nunu,” Idris captioned the Instagram Story on Friday, January 13. Lori then shared his romantic birthday love on her social media account, which included three white heart emojis underneath. The new couple still appear to be going strong.
