Well, he didn’t tell any lies. Jay-Z believes that Beyonce should have won the Grammy for Album Of The Year at the ceremony on Sunday, though she ended up losing to Harry Styles’ “Harry’s House.” According to PEOPLE, Hova made the comment in an interview with Tidal a few days before the Grammys, sharing that he was hopeful the Recording Academy would finally get it right by giving “Renaissance” its well-deserved award.
But voters clearly felt otherwise, leaving Bey out of scooping up one of the most prestigious awards of the night. While some have argued that the singer is already the most awarded person in Grammys history, it doesn’t excuse the fact that with seven studio albums under her belt, she has never won Album Of The Year, even though her last three albums, in particular, were considered game-changers in the music industry.

Can we talk about the disgusting behavior of some guests during Harry's speech for the Grammy Award of the Album of the Year ?
He deserves it, even Beyonce was proud of him.

”The truth is, we grew up wanting to be on the Grammys, and it was our goal. We just want them to get it right. That’s what we want,” Jay-Z told Elliott Wilson as he addressed his own losses at the ceremonies in the past. “Even with Bey, I felt like they missed the moment. Not just Lemonade; [also] when Beck won over her [for album of the year at the 2015 show]. I was like, ‘Oh, y’all missed it.’”
The “Hard Knock Life” rapper also spoke on how “Renaissance” influenced the culture since its release over the summer of 2020. It’s pretty evident that even without any accompanying music videos, songs lifted from the album, such as “Cuff It,” and “Alien Superstar” have become major hits thanks to platforms such as TikTok where millions of people have been creating their own viral dances.
“Renaissance” was also huge for the culture considering it was heavily inspired by the queer community and her late uncle Johnny, who passed away after battling AIDS. The album in itself touches on so many themes that it is bizarre to think it was once again overlooked by the Grammys to not win Album Of The Year — and people are rightfully upset.
“Beyoncé, in the 5th grade I skipped school to see you perform. You changed my life. The way you made me feel, I was like, ‘I want to make people feel this way with my music.’ You clearly are the artist of our lives!”

”Look what it’s done to the culture. Look how the energy of the world moved,” Jay expressed. “They play her whole album in the club. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen that. The whole entire joint — like, everything?! Every remix is amazing. Everyone’s inspired. It has inspired the world.
“When it just inspires creativity, that’s an album. That has to be album of the year.”
