‘We Will Love And Support Our Son And Brother’: Idaho ‘Killer’s’ Family STAND BY Criminal

The family of Bryan Kohberger, the alleged Idaho killer, is speaking out in support of him.

As we previously reported, Kohberger, 28, was arrested Friday in his family home in Pennsylvania for the fatal Nov. 13 stabbings of four University of Idaho students. Despite being linked to the murders, his attorney told CNN over the weekend that Kohberger is actually “shocked a little bit” at the allegations against him. It was also said that Koberger, “is eager to be exonerated of these charges and looks forward to resolving these matters as promptly as possible.”

Now his defender Jason A. LaBar released a statement on behalf of his parents and his sister. It reads, “We have fully cooperated with law enforcement agencies in an attempt to seek the truth and promote his presumption of innocence rather than judge unknown facts and make erroneous assumptions,” the family said. “We will continue to let the legal process unfold and as a family, we will love and support our son and brother.” The family went on to…

“The family expressed their condolences to the four victims — students Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin — saying “there are no words that can adequately express the sadness we feel, and we pray each day for them. We respect privacy in this matter as our family and the families suffering loss can move forward through the legal process,” the three family members wrote.

More On The Case

Bryan Christopher Kohberger was finally captured and taken into police custody in Pennsylvania on a fugitive from justice warrant. He faces four counts of first-degree murder and a count of felony burglary.

He was arraigned in Pennsylvania in front of a district judge, where bail was denied. He was being held at the Monroe County Correctional Facility, where he is awaiting extradition to Idaho, state police said in a news release.
LaBar said Kohberger is willing to waive his extradition hearing, but will still face a judge at an upcoming hearing in court on Jan. 3 to sign off on paperwork.

The slain students – Kaylee Goncalves, 21; Madison Mogen, 21; Xana Kernodle, 20; and Kernodle’s boyfriend, Ethan Chapin, 20 – were said to be asleep when they were each stabbed multiple times in the early morning hours, according to authorities. Two surviving female roommates, who lived on the basement level, appeared to have slept through the gruesome attack.

So far, investigators have not yet discover a motive, but the details emerging about Mr. Kohberger’s deep interest in the psychology of criminals has raised another red flag. The Daily Beast even reported that Kohberger took courses by the famed forensic psychologist Katherine Ramsland, who has written 68 books including How to Catch a Killer, The Psychology of Death Investigations, as well as The Mind of a Murderer.

The horrific November 13 killings rocked the small college town of Moscow, which was its first murder in seven years.
