Socialites, just one week after the mass shooting at a Lunar New Year festival in Monterey Park, another shooting occurred Saturday morning at a house party in California. According to ABC7 LA, cops were called to the scene at a multi-million dollar rental home in the Beverly Crest neighborhood at 2:40 AM, where they found three people dead and four others injured.
Per Sgt. Frank Praciado of the Los Angeles Police Department, three of the victims were found dead inside a car while the four other individuals were rushed to a nearby hospital. Two were said to have been in critical condition upon their arrival while the other two were in stable condition.
Sgt. Bruce Borihanh says they currently haven’t attained enough information or evidence as the investigation remains ongoing. Additional occupants at the property are being interviewed, as well as neighbors and other potential witnesses while the motive of the shooting still remains unknown.
This is now the sixth shooting that has occurred in California in less than a month as the crime rate in Los Angeles, in particular, continues to soar at an alarming rate.
“We’re still interviewing additional occupants, as well as witnesses and neighbors, to try to piece together exactly what happened here,” an LAPD spokesperson confirmed. “Investigators are also going door to door and looking for additional surveillance video, or any evidence that could help us.”
Cops are still working on obtaining enough information on a potential suspect before issuing any arrests, but from what they’ve gathered so far, there’s been little to no information pertaining to the case.

Neighbors in the area were just as shocked to hear about the shooting, as one woman told The Los Angeles Times, “It’s a pretty quiet neighborhood. My family has been here forever.”
While the area occupies a lot of residents who’ve lived in the neighborhood for decades, according to the publication, many have passed away, with their homes being turned into AirBnb rental properties. This is what locals are saying has drawn so much violence and crimes occurring in their community — and they’re rightfully tired of it.
