Michael B. Jordan Seemingly Addresses Lori Harvey Split During ‘SNL’ Monologue; Says He’s Now On The Dating App Raya

Michael B. Jordan hosted “Saturday Night Live” last night for the very first time — and he definitely came well prepared with the jokes. In his opening monologue, the actor seemingly addressed his split from Lori Harvey last year as he spoke about going through his “first public breakup” to the studio audience.

As we previously reported, Harvey and Jordan called it quits back in June 2022, having dated for just over a year at the time. Speaking of the breakup, the 35-year-old said, “Most people after a breakup are like, ‘I’m going to get in better shape.’ But I was already in Creed shape!” Jordan was referring to his character as former boxing champ Adonis Creed in the upcoming movie, “Creed III.”

“So I had to be like, ‘All right, I guess I’ll learn a new language.’ Anyway, estoy en Raya.” Earlier this month, Harvey went public with her new beau, British actor Damson Iris, who posted her up on his Instagram Story and wished her a baby birthday, accompanied by a photo of the pair intimately embracing each other.

PEOPLE exclusively reported on the pair’s split last summer, with sources telling the publication that Jordan and Harvey came to the understanding that they were better off moving forward as friends.

“Michael and Lori are both completely heartbroken,” their source said. “They still love each other. Michael matured a lot over the course of their relationship and was ready to commit for the long term.

“He let down his guard with her, opening up emotionally in a romantic relationship for the first time. They had great times together and brought out the best in each other.”

A few weeks after their split, there were a number of unconfirmed reports asserting that the ex-couple had drifted apart because they allegedly weren’t seeing eye-to-eye on their future goals in their relationship.

An inisder later told PEOPLE how Harvey was reportedly the one who “wasn’t ready to commit,” prompting the pair to separate.

“She is very focused on her career,” they said. “She still wants to have fun and be free. Michael is a great guy. She is sad that their relationship didn’t work out, but she is moving on.”
