Wow! #Socialites, check this out! Just days after Gunna’s release from jail, an Atlanta, GA Walmart cancelled his sold-out Christmas giveaway event, where he was set to hand out $100,000 worth of gift cards.

Walmart Cancels Gunna’s 5th Annual $100K Christmas Gift Card Giveaway Upon His Release From Jail, Event Was Sold-Out
As we previously reported, Gunna, real name Sergio Kitchens, was release from jail on Wednesday evening (December 14) after pleading guilty to a single RICO charge.
According to South Fulton Police, on Saturday (December 17), a local Walmart cancelled the event, notifying residents via their Facebook page.

The police department revealed that they had been working closely with the local superstore, addressing security ahead of the event scheduled for Sunday, December 18.
However, just hours ahead of the event, a spokesman at Walmart issued notice of the cancellation, and the police department followed suit.
The Facebook notice read, “Rapper Gunna and Goodr’s Event at Walmart Canceled for Sunday. As we had been working with Walmart to address security for the gift card giveaway that was to be hosted by Gunna and Goodr company on Sunday, we learned that Walmart has canceled the event. Any further information on why the event was canceled must be obtained directly from Walmart.”
According to reports, Gunna’s Christmas giveaway event was planned from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Walmart on Old National Highway.
Ahead of the cancellation, prior promotional flyers, which have since been pulled down from social media, revealed that the rapper planned to give out $100 gift cards to 1,000 patrons who signed up and registered fro the event.
It is reported that the demand was so high that all 1,000 gift cards were scooped up within hours of the promotional flyer being posted and link to register going live.
