Would you have done the same? Waitress Is Left In Shock After She’s Gifted $2,200 Tip For The Holidays — But Decides To Split It With Her Coworkers
What was supposed to be a normal day working at a Kansas diner turned out to be a big blessing for not one but several employees!
Tayler Sullivan was in the middle of working her normal shift at Delano’s Diner in Wichita, Kansas, when she helped a large table of 22 people. After the guests finished their meals and came to pay the check, they all chipped in $100 each for the tip, which left Tayler with $2,200 to take home!
The day got even sweeter as she instantly decided to do something nice with her extra cash. Instead of keeping all the money to herself, Tayler decided to share some of her takings with her co-workers who she describes as being “like family.”
“I ended up tipping everyone here at the diner part of the money. I work with them every day,” she told local,” she told TV station KAKE, “They’re like my family. I [wanted] them to have a good Christmas as well, even if it was only just a little bit.”

Recalling the moment she received the great gift, she said: “It was time for them to pay, and I asked how they were going to do their checks, and they said they will be all together. Then I bring the check over, and all the family and friends started whipping out their phones, and they got out a large amount of money, like, ‘Alright, each year during the Christmas holiday we all bring out $100, and so we are gonna let you keep all the money.’”
“Working in customer service, you never expect that amount of money coming in at a table. Ever,” she told KAKE.
Ending with a positive message, Tayler said she’s still in disbelief but grateful: “You never know what you might get, and what goes around comes around.”
