Reality star and makeup mogul Kylie Jenner is facing severe backlash after her former private chef filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court. The unnamed chef alleges that the extreme physical demands and relentless 12-hour shifts she was forced to work during a high-risk pregnancy directly led to her suffering a tragic miscarriage.
According to the court documents obtained by Los Angeles Times, the woman started her dream gig as Jenner’s private chef around Thanksgiving 2024. By December, she hit her supervisors with the news that she was three months pregnant with a high-risk pregnancy, explicitly asking for reasonable workplace accommodations to keep her and her unborn child safe.

The lawsuit claims her management team completely ignored her restrictions and kept piling on the heavy lifting. The filing details a horrifying New Year’s Eve incident where the five-months-pregnant chef was ordered to “lift and transport heavy food items across the street and uphill without assistance.” The physical strain was so intense that the chef allegedly grew dizzy and started gasping for air, forcing Jenner’s own security personnel to step in and give her medical aid.
The tipping point came in early February 2025 during a massive birthday bash for one of Kylie’s children out in Palm Springs. The chef says she pleaded for extra kitchen help but was left totally hung out to dry. The legal filing describes a heartbreaking breaking point: “Due to exhaustion and overwhelming physical strain, [she] broke down emotionally in the bathroom during the event. That evening, [she] experienced extreme physical exhaustion and heaviness throughout her body as a result of the prolonged and intense workload.”
The next morning, the situation turned into an absolute nightmare. The chef woke up to severe hemorrhaging and had to drive herself to a Palm Springs emergency room. Doctors delivered the most devastating news a mother could hear: there was no detectable heartbeat. She had lost her baby.
Instead of receiving compassion from the billionaire’s camp after losing her child, the chef claims her supervisors cold-heartedly blamed her, falsely accusing her of leaving the kitchen and refrigerator “in disarray” after the party.
When she spiraled into a deep depression over the loss, a supervisor reportedly reprimanded her, saying, “Stop it, just stop it. You are upsetting Kylie. You are making her depressed.” By the spring, she was officially kicked to the curb and allegedly terminated.
The explosive lawsuit is seeking unspecified damages for pregnancy discrimination, harassment, wage theft, and wrongful termination. It also claims Jenner’s team misclassified her as an independent contractor to dodge proper pay.
While Kylie’s camp has yet to release a public statement, the chef’s legal team isn’t backing down, making it clear that a massive bank account doesn’t give anyone a pass to mistreat workers. Her lawyers firmly stated, “Celebrity status does not exempt anyone from California’s employment laws. We look forward to presenting the evidence in court and allowing the facts to speak for themselves.”
This now marks the third explosive lawsuit filed against Kylie by her household staff. Just months prior, two of Jenner’s former housekeepers, Angelica Hernandez Vasquez and Juana Delgado Soto, filed separate lawsuits alleging a toxic work culture filled with severe emotional distress, unpaid wages, and intense racial discrimination from direct supervisors.
As the lawsuits stack up, the public is left looking at the reality TV star’s team in a completely different light.
