At 53, Cameron Diaz has welcomed her third child with husband Benji Madden, 47, and the announcement caught fans all the way off guard. Benji, known for rocking out with Good Charlotte, took to Instagram on Monday to share the news.
He said,
“Cameron and I are Happy, Excited, and feeling so BLESSED to announce the birth of our third Child, Nautas Madden,” he wrote, posting a simple image of a ship, a subtle but meaningful nod to their baby boy’s name. “Welcome to the world Son!!”
Cameron kept it short and sweet, sliding into the comments with five heart emojis, no extra words needed when the love is that loud.
Benji also shared the meaning behind “Nautas,” writing:
“Sailor, navigator, voyager. One who embarks on a journey and fears not the unknown.”
The couple, who’ve been married since 2015, are already parents to daughter Raddix, 6, and son Cardinal, 2. If you’ve been following them, you already know they move different, super private, low-key, not out here putting their kids all over the internet. They pop out, share a little love, then go right back to minding their business.
This baby news comes not too long after Cameron stepped back into the spotlight with her Netflix comeback, Back in Action. After taking a full decade away from acting starting in 2014, enjoying life with her family.
Now she’s balancing both worlds again. She’s currently starring in Outcome alongside Keanu Reeves, a film that follows an actor dealing with a blackmail situation while trying to clean up his image.
