In a clip from a recent livestream that has since gone viral, the popular streamer can be seen walking through St. Lucia on his way to his next activity when a young fan approaches him and manages to get his attention with a personal story.
The boy explains that his family is struggling and that his mother is on the verge of homelessness, leaving them unable to afford a new phone for him. Speed, holding the boy’s old Nokia device, asks if he’s telling the truth. After a brief but sincere moment, he looks the child in the eyes and decides to help.
Moved by the situation, Speed gives the boy a stack of cash, an amount that appears to be more than enough to cover a new phone, with some left over.
Overcome with emotion, the boy breaks down in tears and hugs Speed, clearly grateful that he took a chance by speaking up. Speed responds with a reassuring gesture, kissing him on the head and telling him he’s welcome before his security team gently ushers things along.
