President Donald Trump Slams Unflattering Cover Photo For Time Magazine

Trump, who has graced the cover of Time 40 times, maintains a decades-long history and relationship with the magazine. However, when Time unveiled the first photo of Trump on October 13, things took a turn.

The photo of Trump, who’s covering the upcoming November 10 issue, went viral. Social media users mocked POTUS’ neck noticeably tucked into his white button-up. The angle, looking at Trump from underneath him, also didn’t help. The bad angle, bad lighting, and pose made his neck look similar to a turkey neck, or worse: a woman’s genitals or man’s testicles.

On October 14, Trump ultimately called out Time for the unflattering photo, which also had the words, “His Triumph” written over it. He took to his platform Truth Social and fired off:

“Time Magazine wrote a relatively good story about me, but the picture may be the Worst of All Time. They ‘disappeared’ my hair, and then had something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one. Really weird! I never liked taking pictures from underneath angles, but this is a super bad picture, and deserves to be called out. What are they doing, and why?”

Time Magazine Updates Cover Photo Of President Donald Trump After He Criticized Original Unflattering Image

On October 23, Time Magazine unveiled an updated cover photo of President Donald Trump ahead of the November release. The new photo showed Trump sitting at his desk in the White House’s Oval Office. He had his elbows on the desk with his left hand placed over his right, both tucked under his chin, covering his neck. Over the image, it read, “Trump’s World.”

While some social media users speculated that the redesign came in response to Trump’s earlier criticism of the original photo, Time has yet to comment on whether or not his comments influenced the change to an updated photo.

Elsewhere, before the release of the original cover, Time’s owner, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff, made headlines for comments shared with The New York Times. He said he believed Trump was doing “a great job.” He also said he “fully” supported the idea of sending federal troops into San Francisco to clean up the California city.
