As we previously reported, on Wednesday, Ray’s mother announced the heartbreaking news of his death in a post shared to her private Facebook account. She wrote at the time:
“It is with a heavy, heavy heart that I let you know that my son Ray Ray (@Iamrollingray) has gone home to be with the Lord. I thank everyone who has called or texted. This is going to be a long road.”
The shocking announcement came just two days before his 29th birthday, leaving fans devastated. While the exact cause of death remains unknown, Rolling Ray had long been open about his health struggles. From living with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) since childhood, to surviving severe burns from a 2021 fire, to a coma caused by COVID-19 and pneumonia in 2022—Ray constantly battled challenges with unmatched strength and humor.
In August 2024, he was hospitalized once again for pneumonia and a blood infection, where doctors said he faced dangerously low oxygen levels. Despite his health battles, he remained active online, making fans laugh with his authenticity and one-of-a-kind personality.
