Trump Comes For Gayle King Outta Nowhere, And Social Media Ain’t Here For It
Donald Trump is coming for yet another on-air TV host—but this time, social media is telling him to go on and play with someone else!
In case you missed it, before Trump rolled himself to sleep on Monday, he decided to squeeze in some late-night messiness over on his favorite soapbox—Truth Social. One of those rants included a random jab at the unproblematic CBS Mornings anchor Gayle King. He wrote:
“Gayle King’s career is over. She should have stayed with her belief in TRUMP. She never had the courage to do so. No talent, no ratings, no strength!!!”
So what the heck did Gayle say to make him lose his top?
Nothing. Not a damn thing. Gayle hasn’t said anything disrespectful about Trump recently. But according to reports, his lil meltdown was triggered by a New York Post article claiming her future at CBS is looking “murky,” citing poor ratings and calling the show too “woke.”
But Gayle wasn’t the only one Trump had smoke for lately. Just a few weeks ago, he came for Stephen Colbert, and not long after, Colbert’s Late Show got axed. Trump—of course—took credit, claiming it was all because Colbert had “no talent” and his show cost too much to produce.
Either way, folks online are not here for Trump coming after Gayle. She’s beloved, unbothered, and booked—and Twitter made it clear that Trump was the one looking washed, not her.
One person said, “Trump posted some gibberish about Gayle King and all kinds of Trump ass kissers are coming out of the woodwork attacking her. I see her every morning because my wife watches the show. It’s not a news show and it’s not a political talk show. STFU Trumptards.”
Another added, “#Trump is pathetically weak.”
