Raven-Symoné And Wife Miranda Maday Relationship Timeline And Criticism
Raven-Symoné and Miranda Maday first crossed paths back in 2015 at a gay bar in West Hollywood. The actress, who grew up in the spotlight, prioritized her personal life as she got older.
So, she decided to keep the details about her relationship with Maday quiet. However, in June 2020, as they tied the knot, they could no longer remain tightlipped about their nuptials.

Over the years, Raven-Symoné has shared more about her relationship with her wife on television shows, social media, and their podcast, ’Tea Time with Raven & Miranda.’ On their platform, they constantly address and clap back at criticism over their marriage, with Raven-Symoné defending her wife.
They have even discussed prenups, and how the ‘That’s So Raven’ star made her wife sign one to date. They’ve even admitted to sleeping in separate bedrooms. Despite their candor, some critics have long claimed that Maday is the iconic actress’ “handler,” and others believe she married for riches.
However, during a June 26 episode of the couple’s podcast, Maday put her foot down once and for all and the clip is now going viral. While welcoming guest Robby Hoffman, an American-Canadian writer and comedian, Maday made it clear that she did not marry her superstar actress wife for her long money—she’s got her own.
Note: Maday previously told PEOPLE that she worked as a personal assistant to the stars before becoming a social media manager and birth doula, among other entrepreneurial endeavors.
Miranda Maday Silences Critics Claiming She Married Raven-Symoné For Money: ‘I Didn’t Marry Raven For Money, I’m Richer’
Before firing back at critics, Maday said, “You know, Raven thought I was Jewish for the longest time.” Hoffman asked, “What are you?” Maday replied, “Not Jewish. Just like a White girl.” Hoffman shared that she really liked the two together as a couple. Raven-Symoné said, “Awe,” as Maday added, “She was really bummed because she thought that in marrying me, ‘a Jewish girl,’ she was going to get an upgrade.”
The actress said, “I was marrying rich too, and then I found out.” Hoffman quipped to Raven-Symoné, “You’re rich.” As Raven-Symoné attempted to reply, her wife interjected, “Not as rich as me.” Hoffman asked, “Really? You’re wealthier?” The actress quipped, “Yeah.” Maday later added, “Part of why I feel like I have to stand ten toes down about it and speak with my whole chest is because so many people think I married Raven just for money.”
Hoffman interjected and demanded, “So, say it. Say, ‘I didn’t.’ Say, ‘I’m richer.'” Maday replied, “I do. That’s what I just did.” Hoffman again egged her on and said, “So, say it right here.” Maday laughed, looked at the camera, and said, “I didn’t marry Raven for money. I’m richer.”
Raven-Symoné sat next to her wife, smirking and hiding behind her sunglasses and hat. Hoffman added, “So you married Raven because you’re attracted to her.” The actress interjected, “Yes,” as Maday laughed and agreed, “I married Raven because I’m really attracted to her.” Maday jokingly added, “Even her boobs, even though she might remove them and that’s fine with me because I don’t care.”
