Boosie Responds to Caleb Wilson’s Family Threatening Legal Action Against Him

Boosie is breaking his silence after backlash over a tribute he made to hazing victim Caleb Wilson. The Louisiana rapper is facing some serious heat after Caleb’s family reportedly said they never approved of a scholarship set up in their son’s name.

At his 6th annual Boosie Bash Festival held at Southern University—a turnt-up weekend featuring big names like GloRilla, Sexyy Red, and DaBaby—Boosie announced the Caleb Wilson Memorial Scholarship. He even mentioned that Wilson’s father played a major role in helping the event come together.

But now, Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill is calling cap. She says Caleb’s parents had zero knowledge of any scholarship and never signed off on Boosie using their son’s name in connection with the event.

Attorney General Claims Legal Action Is Coming

AG Murrill didn’t sugarcoat her statement. She said:

“Caleb Wilson’s parents have advised me that they have not given consent and know nothing about their son’s name and image being used to promote this event. They didn’t even know the event was happening. They have requested that his name, image, and any reference to a scholarship for him be removed from all promotional materials. I intend to take legal action due to their misappropriation of his name and image to promote their for-profit event. This is not a charitable event.”

That statement alone sent shockwaves through social media. Many were surprised to hear that the family was allegedly unaware of something that was publicly promoted and meant to honor their son.

Boosie Fires Back: “This Is The Ultimate Betrayal”

Boosie didn’t hesitate to clap back. He took to X (formerly Twitter) with a fiery response, making it crystal clear that he felt blindsided by the legal threats.

“ITS SAD FOR THIS LAWYERn FAMILY TO SAY I PROMOTED MY EVENT OFF SOMEONES PASSINGMY EVENT WAS PROMOTED ON EVENTBRITE SINCE NOV 14 .THIS INCIDENT HAPPENED A WEEK BEFORE MY EVENT WAS TO TAKE PLACEHOW THE F*CK CAN I CAPITALIZE OFF SOMEONE DEATH FOR A CONCERT. THAT AINT ME ““.A DEATH OF A STUDENT WONT HELP A CONCERT IT WOULD HURT A CONCERT I WAS ASK TO HELP THE SITUATION N THATS WHAT I WAS DOING ONCE I MADE IT HOME. BUT FOR YALL TO SAY THAT YALL ARE TAKING LEGAL ACTION AGAINST SOMEONE WHO IS TRYING TO HELP YALL IS A SLAP N MY FACE N “COMPLETELY WRONG WHEN KEEPING IT REAL GOES WRONG SMH BR IM DONE.ANOTHER MONEY GRAB ‼THIS IS The ULTIMATE BETRAYAL SMH.”

That post went viral in minutes, with fans split between supporting Boosie’s efforts and questioning how the scholarship came to light without formal approval from the Wilson family.

Caleb Wilson’s Case Still Making National Headlines

Caleb Wilson’s tragic passing continues to grab national attention. Three individuals are currently facing manslaughter and criminal hazing charges connected to his death. The investigation is still active, and authorities haven’t ruled out additional charges.

Wilson’s story has become a symbol of the dangers of hazing on college campuses. Boosie, according to his statements, said he was simply trying to shine a light on that. But now, instead of praise, he’s finding himself tangled in legal drama.
