Danity Kane’s D. Woods Claims Diddy Treated Her ‘Like a Piece of Meat’

D. Woods, who was apart of Danity Kane, opened up in an interview about her experiences with Sean “Diddy” Combs, saying she felt like she was just being treated “like a piece of meat.”

Woods, now 41, finally opened up about Combs, 55, in an exclusive interview with ABC News that hit the airwaves on Good Morning America on Monday, January 27. The singer, who was part of the girl group Danity Kane that Combs helped launch back in 2005 on MTV’s Making the Band, revealed to the outlet that she had some “troubling interactions” with the music mogul while he played a role in both building up and eventually breaking down her career.

“He did it in different ways with all of us, picking and prodding, just a way to chip and knock away and then praise you,” Woods, who’s also featured in the new Investigation Discovery docuseries The Fall of Diddy, shared.

After playing a clip of Woods saying in the docuseries, “I see myself standing in these dark, scary, predatory spaces, and hearing somebody say some of the most degrading things to me,” ABC News’ Eva Pilgrim then asked another question to Woods;  “How was it predatory?”

“Somebody constantly treating you like a piece of meat, only seeing, only valuing you for your sex appeal,” Woods told the outlet. “In some of the environments, it was even scary to be by yourself.”

According to ABC News, Woods claims that Combs fostered a “verbally abusive work environment.” When Pilgrim, 42, asked her why she decided to speak out about the allegations at this moment, Woods—whose real name is Wanita Denise Woodgett—explained, “It’s more of a question of why I have not been able to speak up in the past, and I would say that this moment now is a time where I feel like my experience, my truth will really be heard and actually considered and believed.”

She added, “Not talking hasn’t changed anything either.”
