Diddy’s twin daughters are paying tribute to their late mother, Kim Porter, on the sixth anniversary of her passing.
The girls, Jessie and D’Lila, 17, shared a heartfelt tribute post on their joint Instagram this Friday morning. They wrote over a sweet black-and-white picture of Kim holding them in the air and kissing them as babies: “We can’t believe it’s been years without you. We think about you every single second of the day. We love and miss you so much words can’t even explain. We wish you were here with us but we know your spirit will be around forever!! We Love you Mommy.”
Porter passed away in 2018. As previously reported, she was found dead at her Toluca Lake, California, home after suffering from what was described as days of “flu-like” symptoms. Later, her cause of death was determined to be lobar pneumonia, a type of pneumonia characterized by infection and/or inflammation of one or more lobes of a patient’s lungs.
Diddy has honored his ex-girlfriend many times on social media. Just last year, he wished her a happy birthday, writing alongside a photo of him kissing Porter, “We miss you so much Kim! Happy Birthday Beautiful! Love forever.”
Diddy’s children have not only continued to honor their mom but have also defended her name. Amid Diddy’s legal cases, Porter’s name has been dragged into the legal mess. A book that claimed to cite Porter’s diary was released, causing an online frenzy.
However, her children shut it down and asked everyone to show respect and let her rest in peace.
“The past month has devastated our family. Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories, and false narratives that have spiraled into absurdity on social media,” they shared in a joint Instagram statement on Tuesday, October 22. “We stand united, supporting you every step of the way.”
The statement concluded, “We hold onto the truth, knowing it will prevail, and nothing will break the strength of our family. WE MISS YOU & LOVE YOU DAD.”
