Welp, here’s some exciting news to kick off your Thursday. As we quickly approach Election Day, more A-list celebrities are making their endorsements known, and it looks like we’re going to see that from Beyoncé this week.
According to three sources familiar with the latest plans, the megastar is expected to appear at Kamala Harris’ event in Houston on Friday evening. Not only is she expected to speak, but the Houston native is also anticipated to perform, according to one of the sources who has direct knowledge of the preparations. Beyoncé’s appearance was first reported by the Washington Post.
Beyoncé has quietly shown support for Kamala Harris earlier this year. While she hasn’t publicly endorsed her yet, the Grammy Award winner reportedly gave permission to the Harris camp to use her 2016 song, “Freedom,” on the campaign trail.
Now, Beyoncé doesn’t really dibble and dabble in politics. However, she famously sang the national anthem at former President Barack Obama’s first inauguration in 2008 and performed at a rally in Ohio during the final days of then-Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign in 2016.

This latest development comes just days after superstar Eminem formally endorsed Harris at a recent campaign rally in Detroit, where he introduced Barack Obama.
He said, “As most of you know, the city of Detroit and the home state of Michigan mean a lot to me. And going into this election, the spotlight is on us more than ever, and I think it’s important to use your voice. So I’m encouraging everybody to get out and vote, please. I also think people shouldn’t be afraid to express their opinions, and I don’t think anyone wants an America where people are worried about retribution, or what people will do if you make your opinion known.”
He added, “I think Vice President Harris supports a future for this country where these freedoms and many others will be protected and upheld.”
Beyoncé will join the growing list of other A-list stars and public figures who have backed support for the vice president. So far, Drew Carey, Andy Cohen, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cher, Marc Anthony, Lizzo, Anne Hathaway, Sam Waterston, Jennifer Lawrence, FINNEAS, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, and many more are now team #KamalaHarris.
