Oop: Phaedra Parks Shares Why She’s Not Taking Advice from Any Housewives on DWTS: ‘I Need to Win, They Haven’t Won’

Phaedra Parks

Phaedra Parks is in it to win it! The reality star spoke exclusively with PEOPLE about competing on “Dancing With The Stars” and she made it crystal clear: she’s not just here to twirl around the dance floor; she’s gunning for that Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy!

As the season 33 premiere kicked off on September 17, the fabulous 50-year-old shared her game plan for the competition show—and let’s just say, she’s not playing around. In a bold move, she decided to sidestep any advice from her fellow Housewives who’ve taken a spin on the DWTS stage before. Why, you ask? Because, unlike them, she’s got winning on her mind! “I didn’t ask them. Because I want to go into the situation sort of fresh,” Parks revealed with a wink. “We had a chat, and they gave me their thoughts about it, but I didn’t really want their tips because I need to win. They haven’t won yet.” Whew!

But Parks isn’t just throwing shade for fun. She’s actually got a point! Former RHOA queens Kenya Moore and Kim Zolciak-Biermann both took their turns on the dance floor. Moore, 53, sashayed to a 10th place finish in season 30, while Zolciak, 46, found herself in a not-so-glamorous 11th place during season 21. And let’s not forget NeNe Leakes, who kicked off the Atlanta Housewives’ DWTS legacy in season 18, strutting her stuff to a seventh-place finish. So, Phaedra might just have a leg to stand on here!

With her eyes set firmly on that shiny trophy, Parks is all about “winning” and “continuing to improve, do better every time.”

This exciting new chapter comes just months after Parks announced her grand return to reality TV, after a hiatus from seasons three through nine, which aired from 2010 to 2017. “You called. I answered,” she cheekily declared on Instagram in July, flaunting photos of herself holding a peach like the true queen she is.

Get ready for a star-studded season, as the upcoming cast also features original housewife Porsha Williams, Drew Sidora, Shamea Morton, and newcomer Brittany Eady.

The 16th season of *The Real Housewives of Atlanta* is set to premiere on Bravo in 2025. With production kicking off in May 2024, it looks like we’ll have plenty of time to anticipate all the drama and juicy moments ahead!
