Uh Oh: Yung Miami Laughs at Joe Budden After He Receives His Certified Gold Plaque for “Pump It Up” Years Later — He Reacts

Yung Miami and Joe Budden

Well, this is shaping up to be a showdown. Just as Joe Budden was deep in the celebration of a major milestone, rapper Yung Miami decided to interrupt with some laughter.

To get you up to speed, last year, the rapper-turned-podcaster scored a significant achievement when his 2003 single “Pump It Up” was certified Gold by the RIAA. That means the track has sold over 500,000 copies, making it Budden’s most successful musical release to date. Earlier this week, he received the official plaque and took to social media to share his excitement.

In a lively video, he unveiled the plaque to his podcast co-hosts, clearly admiring how fantastic it looked. As the video made its rounds online, Yung Miami caught wind of it—and instead of offering congratulations, she quoted his post with laughing emojis. Given Budden’s history of critiquing her solo work, it’s no surprise that tensions are simmering between them. But now, Budden has fired back!

Known for his brutally honest (and often viscous unfiltered) commentary, Budden responded cryptically, saying, “It would be too easy…” Yung Miami wasted no time with her comeback: “Another one bites the dust, remember??? You were just celebrating when you THOUGHT I took an L. I can laugh too; you were just laughing at me, so LET’S LAUGH!” Budden then replied, “You’re right… I’ll laugh tomorrow…”

Hinting at what’s coming, Yung Miami shared on last tweet. It read, “I’m beefing with a whole bunch of men this is sad. PROTECT BLACK WOMEN!!!!”

All signs point to Budden addressing Yung Miami on his podcast soon, and you can bet he won’t hold back!
