50 Cent Says Black Men Identify With Donald Trump ‘Because They Got RICO Charges’ 

During a meeting with on Capitol Hill to push for increased opportunities for Black entrepreneurs and greater representation in the liquor industry, 50 Cent expressed his observation that some Black men are siding with Donald Trump, despite his criminal record and ongoing legal troubles. 

In an interview with CBS News congressional correspondent Nikole Killion regarding his stance on the upcoming presidential election, the rapper disclosed that he has yet to make a decision. When discussing the importance of the Black male vote, he noted that Trump’s legal issues have contributed to his clout as a potential candidate.

“I see them identifying with Trump,” he said, “because they got RICO charges.” Last summer in Georgia, Trump and a group of his supporters were hit with a RICO indictment for their alleged involvement in attempting to overturn the presidential election in the state. During this legal process, Trump’s mugshot was captured, leading to speculation from commentators and even Trump himself that this development could potentially boost his support within the Black community.

As we previously shared, on Thursday, May 30, a jury handed down a groundbreaking guilty verdict in Donald Trump’s historic criminal trial, marking him as a convicted felon.

After spending over six weeks in a Manhattan courtroom, the former president was convicted of all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. The jury, consisting of seven men and five women with diverse backgrounds and ideologies, deliberated for two days before reaching their verdict.

The rejection of Trump’s claims of a baseless criminal case came with the jury’s conviction, putting him at risk of up to four years in prison. Despite being a first-time offender of a non-violent offense, he may receive a lenient sentence of probation and a fine, according to @people. However, sentencing ultimately lies in the hands of the judge, with whom Trump has had numerous conflicts with.
