Mike Tyson, the legendary former Heavyweight champion, reportedly experienced a medical emergency during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles but reps are speaking out to give an update on his health.
According to InTouch Weekly, the scary situation unfolded on Sunday while en route to Los Angeles. It was said that Tyson began feeling nauseous just m minutes before the plane was scheduled to land. “Mike had some kind of medical emergency on the plane and paramedics boarded,” a source told the outlet. “Before the paramedics arrived the flight issued an announcement asking for a doctor — the message even came on everyone’s screens.“
However, a rep for the boxing star told The New York Post, “Thankfully Mr. Tyson is doing great. He became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare up 30 minutes before landing. He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him.”

The report also stated that there was a delay caused by the medical emergency and subsequent attention lasted approximately 25 minutes. However, Tyson’s rep clarified that the plane had already been delayed for two hours in Miami due to an air conditioning issue, not related to Tyson’s medical condition.
One passenger, who was seated in an exit row, shared their experience of the incident. The flight attendant informed them that Tyson was an important passenger and requested that everyone stay on the plane until paramedics could board. The passenger silently confirmed Tyson’s identity by mouthing his name, to which the flight attendant nodded in affirmation, the news site notes.
Despite this medical scare, Mike Tyson remains focused on his upcoming boxing match against Jake Paul, scheduled for July 20. Tyson, who will turn 58 next month, last participated in a sanctioned fight in June 2005.
