Dj Akademiks wasn’t too happy to see J. Cole apologize to Kendrick Lamar after releasing a diss track in the midst of the ongoing rap beef.

As we previously reported, Cole took the stage at Dreamville Festival on Sunday, two days after releasing his new album “Might Delete Later,” which included a song titled “7 minute drill” where he took some shots at Kendrick Lamar. “I’m so proud of (‘Might Delete Later’), except for one part,” he said. “It’s one part of that sh*t that makes me feel like, man that’s the lamest sh*t I did in my f**king life, right?” He added: “I damn near had a relapse … I ain’t gonna lie to y’all. The past two days have felt terrible. It let me know how good I’ve been sleeping for the past 10 years.”

After videos of Cole’s apology surfaced all over the internet some rap fans began to have mixed feelings about the apology, but Dj Akademiks made it clear that he didn’t like the move J. Cole made. “Y’all convinced this f*** n——a when he been told y’all he ain’t have no passion for this sh*t. He ain’t got no passion for this sh*t! Y’all convinced this light skin n——a with no passion to come back and rap like he’s the best but he’s not about it!”

Things first caught the worlds attention when Future and Metro Boomin dropped their project together and there was a song titled “Like That” on the album, which featured Kendrick Lamar and he dissed Drake and J Cole. After Kendrick’s verse went viral all over the internet, fans have been anticipating if Drake or J. Cole would respond. Well, it didn’t take Cole long to respond but he admitted that his diss track didn’t sit right with his spirit.

On the other hand we haven’t heard much from Drake but he has been sharing some interesting captions to his Instagram after the rap beef began. “I got my head up high, my back straight, I’m ten f**kin’ toes down… and I know no matter what there’s not another ni**a on this Earth that could ever f*ck with me,” Drake said during one of his recent shows.

Since then, the diss on the record, “Like That” has become the number one song on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart, according to multiple reports. “Like That” opened with 59.6 million streams, along with another 9,000 thousand traditional sales, according to Luminate. “Like That” dethroned Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control” which fell to Number Four. Hozier’s “Too Sweet” debuts at Number 5. Benson Boone’s Beautiful Things, Number 2 last week, took the third slot.
